The safety and well-being of the chronic lung disease patients who we treat are our top priority. As those suffering from chronic lung disease are at high risk of exposure to COVID-19, we recommend all patients follow guidelines issued by the CDC, and if you are feeling unwell, please take steps to safeguard others and remain at home.
Lung Health Institute has decided as a precautionary measure to implement a break in treatment and have temporarily closed our clinics to potentially help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will be taking your phone calls, answering your health care related questions in the meantime.
We have learned that many regenerative medicine clinics are making claims that stem cells, cellular therapy, etc., can be used to treat people infected with COVID-19. While stem cell and regenerative medicine research shows promise for numerous diseases and conditions, there currently are no approved stem cell-based or regenerative medicine-based approaches for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection.
There remains hope as a number of regenerative medicine and other health care organizations are working to submit therapies to regulatory agencies, which is the appropriate and correct avenue for any health care organization working on testing a solution in rigorous clinical trials.
The Lung Health Institute is a world-recognized leader in regenerative medicine.
At the Lung Health Institute, our primary focus is to help patients with chronic lung disease Breathe Easier™. We offer cellular therapy treatments that help reduce inflammation in the airways, may increase lung function and slow the progression of lung disease. To date, we’ve performed more than 8,000 procedures, and we follow up with patients for 1 year after their treatments to track the effectiveness of our cellular therapy procedure. At 3 months, 91.6% of our patients report positive outcomes.*

Our cellular therapy treatment uses the healing properties in a patient’s own blood cells. At a treatment session, our clinicians perform a small blood draw from the patient’s arm. The blood is taken to our in-house laboratory, where platelet-rich plasma-platelet concentrate (PRP-PC) and other healing cells are separated and isolated. The concentrated cells are then returned to the patient via IV. The PRP-PC travels directly to the lungs, where it can help repair damaged lung tissue and decrease levels of inflammation. When airway inflammation is reduced, our patients can Breathe Easier™ and have a better quality of life.
