Keto Biscuits Recipe

A diet high in healthy fats like butter and low in carbs can help support lung health, teaching your body to use fat as fuel and reducing inflammation. These keto biscuits are great with soups and stews, and use low-carb almond flour in place of regular, all-purpose flour.

Keto biscuits are the perfect complement to recipes like stews and soups. These biscuits are made with almond flour which is free of gluten and low in carbohydrates.

• 1 1⁄2 cup of almond flour*
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoon of baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1⁄4 cup heavy whipping cream
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons of diced cold butter (unsalted)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients (almond flour, salt, pepper and baking powder).
  3. Mash the butter into the almond flour until it’s crumbly. It should be a “sandy” mix (recommend using a rubber spatula to do this).
  4. Dig a “well” into the center, and add the cream and egg to the dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the cheddar cheese.
  6.  Form the dough into 5 balls, and lay on parchment paper (optional, but make sure if you do not use parchment paper, that the cookie sheet you use is non-stick).
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.

*NOTE: Bob’s Red Mill super fine natural almond flour from whole almonds is a good option to purchase.
