Jack Coleman Jr., M.D., FACS

Senior Medical Director

Dr. Jack Coleman Jr. is the senior medical director for the Lung Health Institute clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. As the senior medical director, Dr. Coleman is responsible for ensuring that each patient who comes to a Lung Health Institute clinic receives the same excellent standard of care.

Dr. Coleman obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and then completed an internship and general surgery residency at Cincinnati General Hospital. He next completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Hospital, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the English Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center. Dr. Coleman also underwent training in stem cell medicine during his time at the English Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Coleman has been a lieutenant commander and commander in the United States Naval Reserve.

Dr. Coleman is the author or co-author of several medical textbooks, articles in medical journals and book chapters in medical textbooks. His interests include studying ways to expand new technologies into medical care. He enjoys helping people by using new methods and tools, or by using old tools in new and constructive ways. He has given lectures throughout the United States and in many foreign countries.
