You may not know if your body is affected by chronic inflammation. In fact, you may not even have any obvious symptoms that tell you that inflammation is in your body.
However, chronic inflammation brings down your immune system and causes your body to be more susceptible to disease. That can be especially troubling in people who are already likely to get infections, like chronic lung disease patients.
If you’re overweight, reducing inflammation and weight can help you Breathe Easier™.
How Does AI² Work?
Our Anti-Inflammatory Initiative™, or AI²™, was designed to help patients with chronic lung disease reduce their inflammation naturally. AI² has multiple built-in factors to help reduce inflammation. This diet can be customized for each patient’s specific needs.
Some foods on the plan have anti-inflammatory benefits and small amounts of healthy carbs, like blueberries, 85% dark chocolate and almonds. However, carbohydrates and sugars are heavily reduced on the plan compared to a regular diet. That’s key to reducing inflammation in the body.
Without carbs as a primary source of fuel for the body, you might be worried that you won’t have any energy to get through your day. AI² focuses on using healthy fats for fuel. That means the body can start to use ketones as its main source of energy and you’ll have a more even energy level throughout the day.
Ketones also reduce inflammation in the body, including the lungs. When your body is fueled by fat, it also becomes better at using the select sugars it does get as energy.
When the inflammation subsides, your immune system will be more efficient, and you may be less likely to get common illnesses and infections.
AI² Patient Highlight: Jesse B.
We want our patients to have the best quality of life possible. That’s why our patients who come in for cellular therapy also receive our AI². Patients who stick to the AI² often lose weight. Jesse is one of those patients.
Jesse started to see a huge difference in his breathing and his ability to move around just a few weeks after he came in for treatment. Now, Jesse regularly goes to the gym 3 or 4 days a week to work out with his friends. He’s lost 25 pounds since he started the AI². He’s also down to using his nebulizer once per day instead of several times a day.
