When Linda Z. went to the emergency room 3 years ago, she never guessed that she’d be coming out with a diagnosis that would change her life. What Linda found out was that she was one of the millions suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Since then, her journey has been filled with highs and lows, but she’s now much more positive thanks to the treatment she’s received at Lung Health Institute.

What Linda’s Life Was Like Before Coming to Lung Health Institute

After her initial diagnosis, Linda was placed on supplemental oxygen, and she had to use it 24/7. However, she still wasn’t able to do much even though she was on oxygen all the time. As she put it, “I couldn’t move. I was sitting in my chair like a zombie.”

How COPD Was Affecting Linda’s Life Before Her Treatment

Many things people take for granted were hard for Linda to do before her cellular therapy. For example, she was unable to:

  • Walk to the sink
  • Walk 5 or 10 feet down the hall
  • Go to the bathroom by herself
  • Cook
  • Clean
  • Move her arms

“My husband had to do everything, and I just felt helpless,” she said.

Linda’s Life Has Improved in Many Ways Since Having Cellular Therapy

Three weeks after having cellular therapy at Lung Health Institute, Linda could feel the difference. That day, she was sitting in her chair, and she decided to take her oxygen off, get up and get something on a table across the room. She walked across the room with no trouble and then continued doing other things for 5 or 6 hours before it hit her: She had been doing tasks without oxygen.

Linda is also able to talk to her friends and family on the phone now without huffing and puffing. She’s been able to do more cleaning around the house, and she can walk around slowly without oxygen. Even better, she hasn’t needed to take any of the many medications she had been taking for 2 years.

What Does Linda Have to Say to Other COPD Patients?

Linda is very encouraging to people who are thinking about seeking treatment at Lung Health Institute. “Just do it,” she says. She also wants people with COPD to know, “ Lung Health Institute is here. Don’t give up!”

Find Treatment for Your COPD at Lung Health Institute

Lung Health Institute has proudly helped thousands of COPD patients, like Linda, and patients with other chronic lung diseases. One treatment option we offer is cellular therapy.

Cellular therapy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses concentrated platelets and cells from your body to target lung disease. These platelets release healing properties that, when combined with proteins, growth factors and other helpful cells, may promote healing in damaged tissue and reduce inflammation in your lungs.

Our team also offers 3 Anti-Inflammatory Initiative™ plans that are designed to help treat chronic lung disease. They’re intended to help boost your immune system naturally and train your body to fight inflammation using fats.

Take the next step to find relief from COPD and its symptoms. Contact one of our patient coordinators today for more information or to schedule a free consultation.
